ABOUT YOUR COUNCILMAN
Councilman Charlie Frye Jr., elected in 2014, is a lifelong citizen of the City of Fredericksburg whose family have been residents of the area for several generations. Charlie has been employed by UPS for 20 years where he serves as a Package Delivery Driver and is also a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Charlie's wife Kisha White Frye is an Assistant Principal at Walker Grant Middle School, and they are the proud parents of three amazing children. The family resides in the Mayfield community where both Mr. and Mrs. Frye have lived all of their lives. Councilman Frye is tremendously proud of his community and his city. This can be seen in the way he has approached his role on the City Council. He believes the city's strongest asset is its citizens. It is this belief that drives him to serve his constituents and put them first in every decision made. Whether he is removing over 200 unwanted guns from our community or erecting digital speed monitors downtown, the safety of his community will always be a main priority.
As a lifelong resident Councilman Frye has been dedicated to highlighting the history of the city and protecting its integrity. It is through these initiatives we have gained multiple placards and historic markers throughout the city. His efforts are continually challenging us to be a better community while leading the curve on national issues and trends.
